In brief, what is it?

A reserve of €1.250 that you can use to pay car maintenance costs, replace the computer that suddenly dies or offer the most expensive gift on your friend’s wedding list. You can move into negative territory on your current account, something that can come in handy, and you only pay a monthly interest on the amount used.

  • €1.250 available on the current account.
  • A cash reserve to use, as you wish, when you wish, if you wish.
  • Permission to have an overdraft on your current account.


In detail, it's ...

With the Direct reserve you can pay bills with bank transfers, withdraw cash and top-up your Hello prepaid card. You can use this money any way you want to, splurge or cover a quick fix.  

The Direct reserve is linked to your current account.
This means you can have an overdraft (up to €1.250) and not panic.

You pay the money back into your account at your own pace, keeping in mind that you clear the debit balance at least once every 90 days.

How do I request a Direct reserve?

There are two ways:

 • In the app Hello bank! make the request on the screen "Add products".
The Hello team will then send you the documents required to complete your request.

 • Call the Hello team at 02 433 41 45 (Monday to Friday from 7am to 10pm and Saturday from 9am to 5pm).
