Apple Pay is Apple’s payment service. It allows you to pay more easily, more quickly and securely. You can use it for your purchases in shops, but also in apps and on websites you access via the Safari browser on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac.

You can use Apple Pay with your Hello debit and credit cards issued by Hello bank!. The first card you add to Apple Pay will be your default card.

Your device must have the latest iOS, watchOS or macOS versions in order to activate Apple Pay. Visit the Apple Support site to find out more and to find out how to update your iPhone or IPad, Apple Watch or Mac.

For iPhone only:

1. Log in to the Hello bank! app on your iPhone and tap "More", then "Settings", then "Apple Pay" and then "Let’s get started". An overview of your debit and credit cards will appear.
2. Select the first card you want to use with Apple Pay and tap "Add to Apple Wallet", then "Next".
3. Read the general terms and conditions and tap "Agree" and finally "Done".
4. The card is now ready for payments with Apple Pay on your iPhone.

For iPhone and Apple Watch:

1. Log in to the Hello bank! app on your iPhone and tap "More", then "Settings", then "Apple Pay" and then "Let’s get started". An overview of your debit and credit cards will appear.
2. Select the first card you want to use with Apple Pay and tap "Add to Apple Wallet".
3. Select your iPhone and tap "Next".
4. Read the general terms and conditions and tap "Agree" and finally "Done".
5. The card is now ready for payments with Apple Pay on your iPhone.
6. Then tap "Add to Apple Wallet" next to your Apple Watch.
7. Tap "Choose a card", then "Add to Apple Wallet", "Next", "Accept", and finally "Done".
8. Apple Pay is now also activated for payments from your Apple Watch using the card you have chosen.

For iPad:
You cannot use the Hello bank! app to activate Apple Pay on your iPad. You will need to do this via the "Settings" menu on your device, as explained in the question "How do I activate Apple Pay in Wallet?".

For iPhone

1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone and tap "+" at the top right of your screen.
2. Read the Apple Pay Privacy Policy and tap "Continue".
3. Select Hello bank! and the type of card you want to add. When you add a debit card (see below for a credit card), you are automatically redirected to the Hello bank! app login screen (or to a screen where you can first download the app free of charge).
4. Enter your login details and see an overview of your debit and credit cards.
5. Select the first card you want to use with Apple Pay and tap "Add to Apple Wallet", then "Next".
6. Read the general terms and conditions and tap "Agree", then "Done".
7. The debit card is now ready for payments with Apple Pay on your iPhone.

Do you want to add a credit card?

1. Scan it, check its details and enter its security code (this is the CVC code on the back of your credit card). Then tap "Next", read the general terms and conditions and tap "Agree".
2. Because you have not yet logged into your bank, you must now verify your identity to confirm that you are the rightful owner of the card. You can do this in three ways: by using an SMS code, via the Hello bank! app or by calling 02 433 43 67.
3. Tap "Next" to finish the verification.
4. The credit card is now ready for payments with Apple Pay on your iPhone.

For Apple Watch

1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and tap "My Watch", then "Wallet & Apple Pay" and "Add Card".
2. Enter your passcode on your Apple Watch to unlock it and tap "Continue" on your iPhone.
3. To add a credit card to Wallet on your Apple Watch, scan it, check the details and enter the security code (this is the CVC code on the back of your credit card). For a debit card, enter the data manually.
4. Then tap "Next", read the general terms and conditions and tap "Agree".
5. Because you have not yet logged into your bank, you must now verify your identity to confirm that you are the rightful owner of the card. There are three ways to do this: via an SMS code, in the Hello bank! app or by calling 02 433 43 67.
6. Tap "Next" to finish the verification.
7. The card is now ready for payments with Apple Pay on your Apple Watch.

For iPad:
The Wallet app is not available on your iPad. To add your cards to Wallet, go to "Settings, then "Wallet & Apple Pay", then "Add Card". On an iPad, you can only use Apple Pay with credit cards. To add a credit card:

1. Scan it, check its details and enter its security code (this is the CVC code on the back of your credit card).
2. Then tap "Next", read the general terms and conditions and tap "Agree".

For MacBook Pro with Touch ID:
Are you making an Apple Pay payment using your Mac? You can only use a credit card to make this payment.

1. Go to "System Preferences", then "Wallet and Apple Pay", then "Add Card".
2. To add a credit card, you need to enter your name, the card details and the security code (this is the CVC code on the back of your credit card).
3. Then tap "Next", read the general conditions and tap "Agree".
4. Because you have not yet logged into your bank, you must now verify your identity to confirm that you are the rightful owner of the card. You can do this in two ways: by entering an SMS code or by calling 02 433 43 67.
5. Tap "Next" to finish the verification.
6. The card is now ready for payments with Apple Pay on your MacBook Pro with Touch ID.

For other Mac models:
To use Apple Pay with other Mac models, you need an Apple Pay-compatible iPhone or Apple Watch.

1. Check that you are logged in with the same Apple ID on both devices and that Bluetooth is enabled on your Mac.
2. On your iPhone, go to "Settings", then "Wallet & Apple Pay" and enable the "Allow payments on Mac" option.

You can add up to 12 payment cards on iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or later models and on Apple Watch Series 3 or later models. You can add up to eight payment cards on models that predate the iPhone 8.

Yes, you can register the same card on several devices.

The first card you add to Apple Pay will be your default card. Have you added more than one card and want to change your default card? Here's what you need to do.

iPhone

1. Open the Wallet app.
2. Hold your finger on the card you want to set as the new default card and drag it to the top of the card list.

iPad

1. Go to "Settings" and then to "Wallet and Apple Pay".
2. Tap "Default Card".
3. Choose a new card.

Apple Watch
Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Tap on the tab "My Watch", then "Wallet & Apple Pay", and then "Default Card" and choose a new card.

MacBook Pro with Touch ID
Go to "System Preferences" and then to "Wallet and Apple Pay". Choose a new card from the "Default Card" menu.

iPhone

1. Open the Wallet app.
2. Tap the card you want to remove.
3. Press the blue icon in the bottom right corner.
4. On the next screen, scroll down and tap "Remove card".

iPad

1. Go to "Settings" and then to "Wallet and Apple Pay".
2. Tap the card you want to remove and then "Remove card".

Apple Watch

1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the "My Watch" tab, scroll down and tap "Wallet & Apple Pay".
3. Tap the card you want to remove and then "Remove card".

You can add your payment card to Apple Pay as soon as you receive it. But it is important to activate your new card before using it with Apple Pay. To do this, follow the instructions in the letter accompanying your card.

You will need to add your cards to the Apple Wallet on your new device.

You can use Apple Pay to pay with your debit or credit card in any shop showing the Apple Pay or contactless payment symbol. You can also use Apple Pay to pay with your credit card in apps and on websites accessed on the Safari browser that have an Apple Pay button or that offer Apple Pay as one of their payment methods.

2. Then look at your iPhone to log in with Face ID or enter your passcode.
3. Hold your iPhone near the payment terminal and wait until you see "Done" and a check mark displayed on the iPhone screen. You can check on the payment terminal whether the payment has been made or refused.

iPhone with Touch ID

1. To pay with your default card, hold your iPhone near the payment terminal and place your finger on the Home button to log in with Touch ID.
   To use another card, hold your iPhone near the payment terminal without touching the Home button. When your default card appears, tap it and select another card. Then place your finger on the Home button to pay.
2. Wait until you see "Done" and a check mark displayed on the iPhone screen. You can check on the payment terminal whether the payment has been made or refused.

Apple Watch

1. To pay with your default card, double-click the side button and hold the screen of your Apple Watch near to the payment terminal.
   To use another card, double-click the side button and swipe left or right to select another card. Then hold your Apple Watch near the payment terminal to pay.
2. Wait until you feel a slight vibration from your iPhone. You can check on the payment terminal whether the payment has been made or refused.

You can use your iPhone, iPad or Mac to make purchases on websites accessed on the Safari browser that have an Apple Pay button or that show Apple Pay as one of their payment methods. Your online purchases with Apple Pay can only be made with your credit card.

iPhone and iPad

No, you can't see your recent payments with Apple Pay on your Apple Watch itself. You can, however, check them on your iPhone. Open the Watch app, tap "Wallet & Apple Pay", tap your card and then the "Transactions" tab.

You can see the last ten Apple Pay payments you made with your Apple device for each card in Wallet. You can view the full payment history in the Hello bank! app, on Easy Banking Web or on your account statements.

Security and privacy are absolute priorities for Apple Pay.

If you use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, your card number will not be stored on the shop's device or on an Apple server. Instead, Apple Pay provides the device account number, a unique number that is stored in an encrypted format on your device's Secure Element chip.

Yes! It is not possible to make contactless payments with Apple Pay when your device is locked. You can only make a payment after your device has identified you based on your fingerprint, a face scan or skin contact.
